5 Star Mandarin's mission is to educate individuals and groups on Mandarin communication; offering courses at the Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. This includes HSK examination preparation courses (levels 1-6) as well as Chinese cultural training.

Teacher Kong has extensive experience as a Mandarin instructor covering conversational Mandarin, business Mandarin, HSK examinations and cultural assimilation for adults. She has mastered online virtual training with the use of audio, video, and chat sessions. She has strong interpersonal and communication skills creating a positive and fun learning environment.
Over the past 14 years, she has held positions of Language Teacher as well as Educational Supervisor for a top international language Company based out of Shanghai, China. She has since relocated to the USA where she has started her own online teaching business and wrote a series of practical Mandarin training books.
During her career she has trained a diverse pool of students from over 30 different countries. In addition, she has interviewed, selected, trained, and certified over 50 independent Mandarin teachers.
She has a passion for developing her students and teachers to the best of their ability.
